This is a scary and sad but also comforting and fun read... Im only just starting my art journey but the part about "turning the smoothing up on photoshop for the rest of my life" brought tears to my eyes... of course some people have to do that and it's great it helps, but its also scary thinking about how much help you might need to accomplish tasks you were fine with doing by yourself before, and feeling as if it's your own fault(for me at least) and a burden on others... yeah :(
ASGDSHDGFDH xmen jumpscare- im watching last stand next on my rewatch too lmaoooo
JUST LIKE SNAKE! god. representation in media is truly so incredibly important, like to give patients and disabled people even the littlest hopes and joy in not ideal conditions...
"thank you for taking care of the me before me" is a beautiful line...
i dont know you but this art touched my heart and im glad you came out of this experience alright <3
this was a wonderful read. As a disabled person, while I haven't had as long a hospitalization as you, I really felt for those fears of the future, getting a job, being able to keep on drawing, the fear of being a burden. This is a fantastic piece of art and thank you for making it :)
